The cross-sectional FESEM images of the SiNWs grown by etching for 3 and 5 min at 50°C, as shown in Figure 1b,c, respectively, indicate straight growth of nanowires vertical to the substrate, resulting in a smooth surface with almost no pores.
A plot of Ce/qe versus Ce indicates a straight line of slope 1/qm and an intercept of 1/KLqm.
An r = 1 indicates a straight linear relationship.

However, the femora are straight in Kentrosaurus, as opposed to typical bipeds, indicating a straight and vertical limb position.
Figure 7 and Additional file 1: Tables S1 and S2 indicate the straight chain fatty acid (28%), branched chain fatty acid (41%), MUFA (6.95%), PUFA (17.54%), 18 1 w9c (4.24), 18 2 w6c,9c (2.24), and other minor fatty acids detected (Additional file 1: Tables S1, S2).
Test results indicate that straight steel fibers provide the best flexural performance, including strength, deflection capacity, energy absorption capacity, and cracking behavior, compared with hooked and twisted fibers, especially when many fibers (2% by volume) were incorporated.
From these curves, the steady state values (indicated by straight horizontal lines) of all fitting parameters have been extracted and plotted versus HF and/or water concentrations, as shown in Figure 5.
