In applying Euclidean geometry to pre-relativistic mechanics a further indeterminateness enters through the choice of the co-ordinate system: the state of motion of the co-ordinate system is arbitrary to a certain degree, namely, in that substitutions of the co-ordinates of the form x' = x − vt y' = y z' = z also appear possible.
The story's indeterminateness serves to invite the reader to infer the back story and conclusion in a more evocative way than I could have created it.
The indeterminateness in question is plainly not the one considered in section 3: what is in question now is the indeterminateness of propositions, not of senses.
