Due to longer-term wheelchair use from pediatric onset SCI, these injuries may occur earlier and reduce or severely limit independence, function, and quality of life in children.
Independence, function and pain are included within the CHIP-AE [ 34], TACQOL [ 35], and DISABKIDS-37 [ 36], but this lack of connection to fractures demonstrates the need for an OI specific QoL measure.
