4 Experimental studies have shown that, as predicted, both the rated acceptability and production probability of overgeneralization errors decreases with increasing verb frequency (e.g., Ambridge et al., 2009, 2011, 2012, in press; Brooks, Tomasello, Dodson, & Lewis, 1999; Stefanowitsch, 2008; Theakston, 2004; Wonnacott, Newport, & Tanenhaus, 2008).
However, leaving the hyphen with the verb increases data sparsity, and so we decided to leave it with the pronoun.
When TMS was applied at 500 ms post-stimulus (Experiment 3), processing action verbs, compared with non-action verbs, increased the M1-activity in the semantic task and decreased it in the syllabic task.
This is a phrasal verb related to increasing the rate or level of something.
In contrast, individuals who received morphophonological treatment failed to show improvements in accuracy of sentence production, although the number and diversity of inflected verbs increased.

Good verbs to use: "reducing," "eliminating," "increasing," "improving," "growing," and "creating".
Moreover, regardless of the tense of the verb, subjects are faster but less accurate when processing action verbs as compared with state verbs and non-verbs, as if the motor imagery processes activated by action verbs have increased motor response at the expense of accuracy.
Deception is signalled by: Decreases in first-person singular pronouns ("I", "mine"); Decreases in exclusive words, words that signal increasing refinement of the thought being expressed ("but" and "or"); Increases in negative emotion words ("hate", "angry"); and Increases in action verbs ("go", "make").
Consistent with this, Thompson et al. [ 2007] showed increased LH activity for verbs with richer argument structure, which are arguably more combinatorially complex.
Specifically, relative to non-action verbs, M1 activity increased when participants performed the semantic task with hand-action verbs, and decreased when they performed the syllabic task with the same items (Experiment 3).
