LONDON — The French energy giant GDF Suez agreed on Monday to buy the 30 percent of the British utility International Power that it did not already own after it increased its offer to $10 billion.
On February 5th, just before a deadline imposed by British regulators, it increased its offer for Rio Tinto, the industry's number three.
