In our previous studies, 200 400 mM NaCl was found to be necessary for optimal growth of S. europaea [ 26, 28], which significantly promotes shoot growth and increases fresh weight, water content, and sodium element content of the aerial parts of the plant [ 24].
Phosphorus fertilization to rice plants also significantly increased fresh body weight of N. lugens (F 2, 81 = 49.83, p < 0.001, Fig. 1c).
In the comparison between r-Ringer and AGH-Ringer treated groups, only the 1/1000-dilution groups showed significantly increased fresh and dry weights, and there were no differences in the other fertilizer concentration groups (Table 4).
Vasebi et al. (2013) determined the direct interaction between antagonist isolates and M. phaseolina involving increased fresh and dry weights of root and foliar parts, which supports my argument.
Results show that adding WTS to the CLSM samples reduces workability and increases fresh unit weight and compressive strength.
A. nodosum SWE increased RWC, Fresh Weight, and Dry Weight in spinach (Spinacia oleracea L). plants under drought stress with some adverse effects on the nutritional value through reduced ferrous ion chelating ability [59].
The effects of Si-application on the alleviation of Cd toxicity in our experiment were comparable to previous reports where 1.8 mM of exogenous Si increased the fresh weight of rice seedlings grown in solutions contaminated with Cd [ 46].
Additionally, plants of the accession Rsch were found to increase their fresh weight significantly (~1.6-fold) during cold acclimation while this was not observed for Cvi (Fig. 1b; Remark: when applying Student's t-test, the increase in fresh weight of Cvi was detected to be significant; p = 0.018).
Comparison chart of total weight of mung beans measured at the 72nd hour at various sound treatments is plotted in Figure 5. From the comparison chart, it can be found that the mung bean under treatments of sound with intensity of 90 dB and frequency around 2000 Hz significantly increases in fresh weight.
