ECM culture system maintains stem cell phenotypes, increases cell proliferative rate, and suppresses oxidative stress in BM-MSCs.
This agrees with our subsequent analyses, where we find that most mBL barely express genes mechanistically linked to pluripotency such as NANOG or POU5F1 (refer to Figure 1d), but express genes that are related to increased cell cycle and proliferative activity as BCL11A or PLCG2 at relatively high levels.
Histomorphometric analysis showed increased cell count and condylar proliferative and hypertrophic layers widths in bFGF pDNA group.
On the other hand, the transduction of the lentiviral vector carrying the CL3 TCRα and β chain into human primary T cells did not result in a proliferative disadvantage or increased cell death compared to the untransduced T cells (G. Canderan, data not shown).
Our data cannot distinguish whether these effects are due to decreased proliferation or increased cell death; however, because these effects were observed while cell numbers increased rapidly, a proliferative effect appears more likely.
Additionally, Stebbings et al.
