War is one of a number of shocks that drives populations to marginal subsistence strategies with among many implications a likely increase in the recourse to bush meat and forest-based livelihoods.
The reasons for the rise are complex, says officer Jenny Osborne, the local authority's strategic lead for adult public health: "There's a number of factors coming in to play: we have an increase in EU nationals with no recourse to public funds, and we're seeing the cumulative impact of welfare reform.
"If you look at what happened when the government 'liberated' the east from Tamil forces, we saw an increase in unlawful killings, with no recourse to justice for families who have had relatives disappeared with no indication of what happened to them.
The observed increase of recourse conservation with decreasing elevation-induced MAT in both evergreen and deciduous species supports the hypothesis that the role of environmental filtering in community assembly increases with elevation (Callaway et al. 2002; Read et al. 2014).
Morality aside, there are other factors deterring "strategic defaults," whether in recourse or nonrecourse states.
David Chao, cofounder of Doll Capital Management, four years ago invested $1 million in Recourse, a security software outfit.
"There is much that is self-serving in recourse to comparators," it explained.
We have recently seen an increase in the number of women from European Union countries who do not have any recourse to public funds, due to recent changes in immigration and benefits rules.
An OECD publication in 2003 confirmed an increasing recourse to DS between 1996 and 2000 for several procedures, including inguinal and femoral hernia repair, for which the proportion of cases treated as outpatients rose from 45.3%to64.2%2% [ 13].
And there are ongoing courtroom battles between the press and those in the public eye, with increasing recourse to superinjunctions that are disturbingly open to abuse.
