Lloyds Banking Group has lost 1.9p to 53.85p as it increased cost cutting with the loss of 3,000 more jobs.
The chief executive, Gary M. Rodkin, said the company expected stronger profit in the second half of the year because of the recent price increases, cost cutting, new products and moderating commodity costs.
