It is possible that someone may use this phrase informally in spoken language, but it should be avoided in formal writing. Instead, the phrase should be rephrased using the preposition "for" or "to" to show the reason for the incorrectness. For example, instead of saying "The answer was incorrect of me," it would be more correct to say "The answer was incorrect for me to give." Example: "It was incorrect for me to assume that I would pass the test without studying."
