Comonomer effect was observed in the copolymerization of ethylene with 1-hexene, where the comonomer incorporation is about 7 mol%.
We remark for this case that the sites next to the hollow one began to present diffusion through the top surface and became effective for the hollow site with an incorporation of about −0.5 Å.
Secondary ion mass spectrometry was used to analyze the nitrogen distribution within tunnel oxide, and the improved erase properties can be attributed to the incorporation of about 4.8% nitrogen (2 × 1021 atoms/cm3) into the tunnel oxide formed by nitrogen ion implantation.
Analyses by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and secondary-ion mass spectrometry have revealed that the level of nitrogen incorporation is about 10%, and the composition distribution of both carbon and nitrogen atoms normal to the coating surfaces is homogeneous.
