Since 2013, NIST has been organizing an annual open STD evaluation called OpenKWS, which is included within the BABEL program, but open to other research groups besides BABEL participants [85 88].
This sub-study focuses on the three discussion boards included within the MoodSwings program.
The alcohol use module began with a single question, asked in routine screening at the WIC clinic conducted by nutritionists, "When was the last time you drank alcohol?" Response options in the computerized program included "within the past month", "within the past three months", "3 to 6 months ago", "6 to 12 months ago", "more than 12 months ago", and "I have never had alcohol".
The presence of this program was therefore included within the possible bias factors considered in the propensity score analysis and in the multivariable analysis.
