The field data included a spectral library (59 vegetation and 29 substrate signals) and 78 line transect plots.
The problems are characterized by a pair of advected frequency-dependent quantities, coupled to a population variable whose rate includes a spectral integral in one space dimension.
When a large spectral range (0.5 5.5 ppm) is included, a spectral fit can take up to 30 min to complete (2.6 GHz, 32-bit processor with 4 GB RAM).
Other methods tested include a heterogeneous spectral mapping approach proposed by Shi [105], a method proposed by Vinokourov [120], and a multimodal deep learning approach proposed by Ngiam [79].
The local galaxies programme will include a detailed spectral and photometric study of a sample of well resolved nearby galaxies, a survey of more than 300 local galaxies designed to provide a statistical survey of dust in the nearby universe, and a study of the ISM in low-metallicity environments, bridging the gap between the local universe and primordial galaxies.
Common frequency-domain features include spectral centroid, spectral spread, spectral entropy [23], spectral flux, spectral roll-off, Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs), and chroma vector [24].
The attractive features of p-QDIPs include a well-preserved spectral profile [3], as an opposite to a conventional n-type response strongly dependent on applied bias, increased density of states, and lower dark current due to the higher hole effective mass [4].
This substrate showed several advantages, including a broad spectral absorption band from the visible to the near-infrared, reduced fluorescence interference, minimized photo-toxicity, increased SERS effect, and penetration much deeper into the sample (Fig. 6).
Since CTMPA has meritorious features, including a large spectral shift induced by Zn2+, a low fluorescence background and a high sensitivity toward Zn2+, CTMPA was employed to monitor endogeneous zinc ions released during apoptosis and trace intact Zn2+ during zebrafish development.
It is tempting to speculate that these photoreceptor systems might also be involved in circadian entrainment in this species; indeed, more experiments including a complete spectral analysis for light responses should be performed.
