These dialogues bring various players involved in the policymaking process together (e.g., policymakers and managers from a variety of sectors, professionals, citizens/consumers and researchers) to learn from each other and from the research evidence about a specific problematic issue, options for addressing it, as well as implementation considerations.
The stakeholder interviews for each policy verified facts identified during the content analysis of policy documents, gaps in the information gathered in the use of research evidence, and the needs of policymakers to use evidence in the policymaking process.
