Taking the viewpoint of the theory of cooperative learning, which underscores interaction as a factor that affects learning, we assume that this interaction is a facilitating factor for the articulation of integration in the concept maps [ 22] and accounts for the higher degree of articulation in the residents' concept maps.
Decision making and interaction, however, do relate to the articulation of integration and this suggests that teacher learning programs for designing integrated educational programmes should incorporate co-construction tasks.
Little is known about teachers' ability regarding the articulation of integration.
