The genes connected in sub cluster Ib are highly expressed in 'ICP 2376' libraries (6 DAI and 15 DAI).
The KM-I2C algorithm divides distinct clusters in datasets into sub clusters based on inter-cluster and intra-cluster similarities.
Therefore, the data given in this example lie in sub-cluster E1.

All varieties in sub-cluster 4-2 had been taxonomically determined as O. sativa prior to the molecular study, while cluster 4-1 cofsamplesof samples that had been determined either as O. sativa, O. glaberrima, hybrid or unclear (Table 2).
Varieties in sub-cluster 4-1 nonlynly displayed characteristics typical of O. glaberrima, such as the easily observable erect panicle stature (Fig. 3), but also characteristics of O. sativa, such as the long, pointed ligule typical of O. sativa (Fig. 4), a less conspicuous feature.
