Dosages of specific glucocorticoid preparations often are expressed in relation to the potency of the most frequently used preparation; that is, prednisone.
However, the low numbers of adducts formed, in relation to the potency of OTA, would seem to be at odds with these adducts playing a major role in the induction of the carcinogenic response in the rat kidney.
