Use a five-phase format: Freewriting thoughts about the case, a check-in opportunity, a turn-based dialogue process, sharing thoughts about possible work-in-progress presentations, and then closing comments.
PURCHASE -- Works-in-progress presentation by members of Doug Varone and Dancers.
After a couple of minutes of freewriting, allow 5-7 minutes for each participant to share a work-in-progress presentation (time dependent on number of participants).
Between each live meeting, encourage participants to share how they're spending at least 90 minutes on inquiries related to the case and preparing a work-in-progress presentation.
Tuesday night at 6 30, "The Bungalows of Rockaway," with the screening of a documentary in progress, slide presentation and a panel discussion; taking part will be the architectural writer Eve Kahn; the author Jill Eisenstadt; the architectural historian and author Andrew S. Dolkart; and the parks commissioner, Adrian Benepe.
The work is in progress and the conference presentation is going to be supported by experimental results.
This summer, the plays -- main stage productions, special presentations, musicals in progress, staged readings of new works by playwrights, all in their 20's, and free outdoor theater by the apprentice company -- add up to 17. Just as the creative process is an elusive, undefinable thing, what the program offers apprentices and writers changes from year to year, reshaping itself to artistic needs.
