To identify the significant predictors of reading comprehension for Chinese dyslexic children and typically developing children at different developmental stages, three sets of multiple regression analyses were conducted for three groups of participants: dyslexic readers in the senior grades, typically developing children in the junior grades and senior grades.

Twenty-six staff (8 doctors, 6 nurses, 8 pharmacists/technicians and 4 others) at senior, middle and junior grades, and 19 adult in-patients were interviewed.
Junior grades include doctors in foundation year one and two, core trainees, and the previous senior house officer grade.
In the typically developing children of junior grades, significant correlations were found not only between Chinese reading comprehension and word- and text-level skills, but also between Chinese reading comprehension and verbal working memory.
"Research indicates that military members who receive SNAP tend to be made up of members in junior pay grades with larger than average household sizes," Hull-Ryde said.
A Defense Department spokesman told the site active duty members receiving SNAP tend to be in junior pay grades with larger-than-average households.
It is expected that both verbal working memory and the word-level reading-related skills would be predictive of reading comprehension in typically developing children in junior elementary grades, who are in the initial stage of acquiring the language in formal settings.
Schools are typically organized in three tiers: junior (grade 0 3, 6 9 years old), middle (grade 4 6, 10 12 years old) and senior (grade 7 10, 13 16 years old).
