Pimlico Primary, which opened just a mile from the Houses of Parliament in September, is sponsored by Future Academies - the charity run by junior school minister and close ally to Michael Gove, Lord Nash.
There was no explanation as to why HfL was dropped as the sponsor; instead, in February 2018, the headteacher board approved the Barclay's transfer, with two other Hertfordshire secondaries, to Future Academies, based in London.
A statement from Pimlico Primary said: "Having successfully set up Pimlico Primary, Annaliese Briggs has decided to leave Future Academies to pursue other opportunities in primary education.
On Friday the school in question, the Barclay school, Stevenage, is set to join Future Academies, the chain founded and chaired by the Tory peer, party donor and former academies minister, Lord Nash.

Future academy sessions at Wardlow Park are July 26-30 and Aug. 2-6.
In future all new schools would be free or academies, answerable to central government.
