For any variable subject to missing data there is an empirical distribution of observed values and after imputation there will be a distribution of imputed values for the cases that had missing values.
Using these weights and the revised upper and lower bounds for each unobserved variable, we then construct imputed values for each student's unobserved high school GPA, math SAT score, and verbal SAT score.
We performed several sensitivity analyses including those papers with different imputed values for the final version that produced very similar conclusions.
