Study objectives were: (a) to evaluate the process used to introduce MPAC in these two countries, including barriers encountered and facilitating elements; (b) to assess provider satisfaction with MPAC and provider impression of patient satisfaction with MPAC; and (c) to identify supportive and inhibitive policies around the use of MPAC.
Verbal interviews: To update the results of these previous opinion polls, 40 patients and 10 referring doctors were asked at the beginning of this project to get an overall impression of their satisfaction with appointment scheduling and organization of the outpatients' department's working hours.
Semi-structured, in-depth interviews evaluated the implementation process, identified supportive and inhibitive policies for implementation, elicited lessons learned during the process, and assessed provider satisfaction and providers' impressions of client satisfaction with MPAC.
These guides contained open-ended questions aimed at assessing strengths and weaknesses of the intervention, barriers and facilitating factors encountered during implementation, providers' satisfaction with MPAC and providers' impressions of patients' satisfaction with MPAC.
The topic guide then moved on to general impressions of (and satisfaction with) the consultation, views on the booklet, how the booklet was used, whether the consultation/booklet had changed their beliefs, knowledge or behaviour with regard to managing childhood RTIs, and general views on the management of childhood RTIs and use of written information.
Figure 25 gives an impression of the pathologists' satisfaction with the performance of the display system.
To get an impression of the general satisfaction, we also calculated an overall score on the PSQ III.
