Table 2 presents the subjective impression of the measured STI values [34].
Instead of measuring clicks or impressions, engagement mapping aims to track how many times a person comes across an ad on the Web, and correlate that to actions taken down the line.
To independently assess the magnitude of change in treatment satisfaction over time, we used a global Patient Impression of Change measure comprised of a single item with a 5-point Likert scale ("much more satisfied", "more satisfied", "about the same", "less satisfied", "much less satisfied").
The HF-ICF-60 pilot version was pre-tested with a sample of 50 healthy and ill respondents to provide preliminary feedback on any problems with wording, any problems with the response scales, any problems with the instructions and respondents' overall impression of the measure.
These included an informant family history interview (on which there was no systematic assessment of validity) [Bolton et al., 1994], and a rudimentary impression of informant measure used to rate interviewers observations about an interviewee that lacking systematic sample coverage, was never reported.
Patients' mean global impression of treatment was measured on a five-point scale (where 0 = poor and 5 = excellent).
The diagonal of the impression is measured optically, and the hardness expressed as the load in kilograms-force divided by the impressed area of the pyramid in square millimetres.
Our primary outcome was a self-rated global impression of change – a measure of treatment effect on a 7-point scale ranging from 1 very much worse) to 7 (very much better) assessed immediately on completion of treatment.
To give an impression of how this measure yields different results than a mere counting of contacts in a given time period, consultation behaviour of exemplary patients is shown in Figure 1.
Ideally, responsiveness would have been explored using a patient global impression of concept (fatigue) measure across time points (e.g. asking patients to rate their global impression of fatigue at Baseline and Week 3 and comparing the FACIT-fatigue scores according to their global change).
