(Chinen) MANUEL VALERA GROUP (Thursday) Unveiling "The Impressions of Expressions Suite," a new commission, the industrious young Cuban pianist Manuel Valera enlists a string quartet as well as the saxophonist Joel Frahm, the multireedist Charles Pillow, the bassist Johannes Weidenmuller, and the percussionists Luisito Quintero and Ernesto Simpson.
When we examined the immunoreactivity for Raldh1 (Aldh1a1), Raldh3 (andh1a3) and Pax2 in dorsoventral sections of control and Le-cre; Wls fl/fl mice, we observed a very similar distribution (supplementary material Fig. S5), even though the altered shape of the retinal rim in Le-cre; Wls fl/fl mice gave the impression of higher expression ventrally.
This maternal contribution can create the false impression of maternal imprinted expression, requiring extra validation steps [ 26,50,55].
