In addition, to improve the efficiency of this algorithm, we implement the selection of candidate features in a dwindling object set.
To implement the selection procedure smoothly and uniformly on all 3 days, a combination of two examiners (a pair), for a given station was fixed.

In fact, the presence in the network of a self-regulatory system – realised by area-specific global inhibitory loops (see Section 2.2) – results in a process of mutual competition between the different CA circuits (Garagnani et al., 2008), effectively implementing the action selection functions believed to be mediated by the basal ganglia (Wickens, 1997).
For both variants of the method, we provide a simple Matlab code implementing the proposed constraint selection algorithm.
