And after two amended versions and a number of court battles, the Supreme Court in December allowed for the temporary implementation of the ban on Yemenis, Syrians, Iranians, Somalis and Libyans.
But the implementation of the ban on commercial whaling in 1986, combined with the added protection of the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the instigation of protected marine areas, like the National Marine Sanctuaries and also the timely uptick in environmental awareness and appreciation, have brought humpback whales back from the brink.
The proportion of samples with detectable diclofenac (apparent prevalence), the cumulative distribution of diclofenac concentrations and the arithmetic mean concentration in those samples with detectable levels were broadly similar between the two surveys conducted before and just after the implementation of the ban on diclofenac use for veterinary purposes (T2 cf. T1, Table 1).
Hence, there was little change in the expected rate of population decline in period T2, immediately after the implementation of the ban on veterinary manufacture of diclofenac in 2006, but by 2007 200808 (T3) the expected rate of decline had slowed appreciably (Figure 5).
However, the decrease was less significant compared with other countries where smoking in workplaces has decreased to less than 10% after implementation of the ban on indoor smoking.
In spite of early evidence of the role of meat and bone meal (MBM) in transmission of the disease in the United Kingdom [ 1, 2] and the implementation of the ban on the use of MBM for feeding ruminants, the epidemic extended rapidly to most European countries.

The ban on one-way incentive fees?
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 was signed on October 30, 2009 by President Barack Obama, who announced that implementation was progressing on repeal of the ban on travel and immigration to the U.S. by individuals with HIV that had been passed by Congress.
