The implementation of this research agenda in British Columbia will depend upon the ability of the researchers and decision-makers to develop particular projects that fit within the constraints of existing funding opportunities.
The Board and CEO must communicate continuously and the Board must formally update its charges regularly and visibly support the CEO in the implementation of the agenda.
Successful implementation of that agenda will move us one step closer to that "more perfect union" envisioned by our founders and further away from becoming the "two societies" described by the Kerner Commission.
