Purpose/Objective: The main purpose of the final evaluation is to provide an independent in-depth assessment of the achievements of programme results and outcomes against the planned results and the implementation modality of the MDG-F YERP JP.
The World Federation of Public Health Associations WFPHAA) has executed a global survey to consult public health professionals worldwide concerning the implementation and achievements of the MDGs.
In this context, public health is the driving force for the implementation of certain MDGs.
The strategy emphasizes a need to promote the health of communities particularly women and children within the general context of responding to the implementation of MDGs 4 and 5, and the overall developmental goals of Ghana.
In the implementation of MDGs, across these different areas, such targeting has often led to efforts being placed on improving the welfare of those most easily reached, otherwise referred to as 'cherry-picking' (5).
UNICEF Mali engages in partnerships that provide a clearly defined added value to our shared goal of achievement of the MDGs through the implementation of the Millennium Declaration, the the Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF's strategic priorities and work plans.
"It is our hope that publicising such success stories will not only help document policy innovations for SDG implementation, but also keep the focus on the unfinished business of the MDGs as countries and the global community make the transition to implementation of the post-2015 development agenda," it said.
Successful implementation of these five steps should increase the prospects substantially for attainment of the MDGs, as well as enabling health systems to respond to other health challenges.
In the context of the MDGs, it amounts to comparing the time of actual implementation with the time stipulated by the schedule to the 2015 target.
For ACEH it is envisioned that the office will remain open to support capacity building for implementation of the multi-year plan with a focus on partnership in support of the MDGs.
