In this article, we have presented the implementation of a benchmark for objective comparison of cell tracking algorithms, based on the use of a common diverse video dataset repository and ground truth, specific measures for both the evaluation of the segmentation and tracking accuracy, and unified criteria for comparing and ranking the algorithms.
