This paper presents the state-of-the-art aeroelastic modelling of wind turbine blades, provides a comprehensive review on the available models for aerodynamic, structural and cross-sectional analysis, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of these models, and outlines the current implementations in this field.
It assesses the tools, design, and development environments, which have to support the implementation ideas in this field.
The survey is based on qualitative interviews with 40 users of SHS and expert interviews with the main implementation actors in this field (e.g. the financing institution, developing engineers).
The purposes of this review were (a) to identify studies employing an implementation framework in this field; (b) map the literature to better understand these frameworks and the ways in which they are being applied; (c) to ascertain the ways in which implementation frameworks are being tested; and (d) to describe the current state of evidence surrounding their use in the field.
Unfortunately, while this enhances effective and efficient implementation in the field, research results are only infrequently analyzed appropriately.
