Using an innovative statistical analysis of data from the demonstration, Page (Page2011) concludes that most of the positive earnings impact from Career Academies resulted from substantially enhanced exposure to the "world of work", including work-based learning in school-linked internships.

Instead, the evaluation showed strong positive impacts of Career Academies on the employment and earnings of students, especially for at-risk young men.
And attempts to put policy in place, cap and trade and others that will have a damaging impact in the academy, that will really impose new taxes, new regulations, on the businesses that we need to be growing to create jobs based on what now looks to be very questionable science.
