Electrochemical measurement (square-wave voltammograms and cyclic voltamogram were carried out in 10 mM K3Fe CN 6 solutions at a scan rate of 100 mV/s: before immobilization (dotted line), and after hybridization (solid line) with a complementary target 21-mer oligonucleotide.
After reduction of a fracture, Immobilization in the fracture line should be maintained for a period of one week to ten days before any active motion in the joint is begun.
If one accepts these changes in the extra- and intra-articular joint tissues the plan of treatment will be directed to the earliest active mobilization of the joint which is consistent with maintaining the reduction of the bone fragments through complete immobilization in the fracture line.
Response of rHA binding to immobilized fetuin (red line) or asialofetuin (blue line) was measured following (A) the usual protocol (no chemical blocking) or (B) treatment of the plate with 200 mM ethanolamine in borate buffer, pH 9.5, after the immobilization step (blocking).
As shown in Fig. 3, the electrons transfer ability of working electrodes weakened obviously compared with bare electrodes (black line) after antibodies immobilization (blue line).

Interpreting higher doses of analgesics and sedatives as higher degrees of immobilization, this finding is in line with recent studies describing that immobilization aggravated neuromuscular weakness in an experimental setting [ 38] and that early physical mobilization resulted in a better clinical outcome of motor function [ 10].
Given that imagined and executed movements follow the same rules of motor control (e.g. Sirigu et al. 1996; Papaxanthis et al. 2002), to check the accuracy of the MI during immobilization, we evaluated if in line with the speed/accuracy trade-off (Fitts' law, Fitts, 1992), the time required to mentally simulate actions during immobilization was shorter for easy rather than for complex movements.

Volatilization, adsorption, precipitation, and other chemical transformations, as well as biological immobilization and degradation, are the first line of defense against invasive pollutants.
