They call themselves "spatial practitioners" rather than architects or artists, since exhibiting their films, images, installations and books in galleries is just one aspect of their work, which also includes teaching, collaborating with experts and ongoing research.

This week, very late to the party, I visited Christian Marclay's staggering moving-image installation The Clock, a 24-hour montage of thousands of film and television clips with glimpses of clocks, watches, and snatches of people saying what time it is.
