Error analysis performed with the FPGA-based system in the image processing examples of edge detection and noise filtering shows that the proposed architecture produces outputs similar to that obtained by software simulation using Matlab.
After discussing related work in Section 6, the paper finally concludes with Section 7. In our work, we make an extensive use of image processing examples for investigating and clarifying open challenges as well as developing and evaluating new methods in order to meet these challenges.
