While the reviewed papers comprehensively and convincingly demonstrate that alpha oscillations play a crucial role in perception of illusions, other frequency-bands might also contribute to the complex pattern and dynamics of illusory perception.
Many people are prone to the "frequency illusion": that a usage that irritates them is a recent solecism.
