Data was normalized with the quantile normalization algorithm, and genes were considered as detected if the detection p-value was lower than 0.01.
The gene expression data was normalised using the cubic spline function, the genes were selected if the detection P<0.01 (indicating the transcript was detected) in at least one group.
In the STAT6 data, the overall number of peaks was much lower than in the NRSF and FoxA1 datasets (often even less than 1000 peaks with the default settings), and several algorithms could detect only less than 2000 peaks even if the detection thresholds were lowered from their default values.
Detection calls identified transcripts to be either reliably detected (Present) or below the background levels (Absent) if the detection p-value was above or below 0.05 respectively.
It is the first time a scan has identified danger zones, but further research is needed to discover if the detection of dangerous plaques before, rather than after, a heart attack can save lives.
On the other hand, even a 41 percent detection rate would be better than the status quo in ovarian cancer, particularly if the detection extends to early stages.
The measured and simulated energy distributions agree quantitatively if the detection efficiency is taken into account.
If the detection threshold is selected very low, then the false alarm rate gets high.
Hence, even if the detection rate is high, LLR is sometimes set quite inaccurately when corresponding subcarrier is misdetected.
As a result, we obtained that about 0.12%–0.23% carbon is locked up in in Tc 1 if the detection is real.
Note that the bumps are only seen in the model fluxes if the detection threshold is taken into account (Fig. 1).
