In Denmark, all residents have a unique personal identity number from the Civil Registration System, which contains data on vital status and residence for the entire Danish population (Frank 2000).
We have made two quite major changes this week to our sign-in and registration system (known internally as identity).
This was possible because all residents in Denmark are assigned a unique 10-digit personal identity number (CPR number) by the Danish Civil Registration System (CRS).
Own age reports are often captured via dates of birth from national identity documents, as described above, and are thus supported by a relatively strong vital registration system.
"Under the new online registration system it's just one of the ways you can have your identity verified," says Oliver Sidorczuk, director of Bite the Ballot.
As such vehicles would not show up as being written-off (unless reported by insurers) or at end of life, they would remain registered and therefore would not require an identity check, thereby circumventing one of the key crime prevention measures in the Australian vehicle registration system.

California officials already have simplified the registration system by sanctioning registration when residents either get or update a driver's license or a state identity card.
