Translating our findings from these studies to inform decision aid development also proved challenging as we sought to address multiple concerns identified by patients and invested additional significant time and effort performing the mixed-methods pilot study to identify ways to convey scientific information in a way that can be easily interpreted by the vast majority of patients.
