Several hundred QTLs for root traits (mainly structural and a few functional) have been identified and compiled for the identification of meta-QTLs (Courtois et al. [2009]; Khowaja et al. [2009]).
Extending this work to recognize higher-order signals in the proteome, including identification of meta-domains, can provide insight into the causal and mechanistic details of protein interactions.
The identification of overlapping meta-analyses led to the exclusion of 8 meta-analyses (from 2 systematic reviews).
