Izaz Haque Westford, Mass., Aug. 15, 2010 To the Editor: Re "Obama Backs Islam Center Near 9/11 Site" (front page, Aug. 14): Because I can't get to Shanksville, Pa., as often as I would like, l go to ground zero to memorialize my brother, who was a passenger on United Airlines Flight 93, and the almost 3,000 others killed that day.
And I'm like, "who leaves the house without thinking like that?" Another reason I like the L Train is I know that if I'm coming home twisted, I know I won't wake up with my pockets empty and my wallet missing.
Already in the parking lot I had seen several RVs and cars older models, American-made bearing vAmerican-made bearing ME, ABEFAN1, ITS ABE (twice), ABE L 1, I LIKE ABE, 4 SCORE, ABES R US, HERES ABE and so forth.
I feel like l am ready for the next level, so I am forgoing my senior year and I will work hard to prepare for the NFL.

I admit I didn't like l nuns so very much during my days as a gum-snapping New York City Irish American schoolgirl in Catholic pleats -- and the feeling was mutual.
