I recorded to the gram the amount that I ate and drank, and even the quantity of urine that I passed (I estimated the, er, other stuff – I do have some dignity), and I recorded all the exercise I did, weighing myself before and after walks and runs.
So this morning I did, weighing in on the program that everyone is watching, or that no one can bear to watch, depending on who you ask.
I do weigh in today, and I try to be the voice of the big picture, but I almost never insist on my point of view.
But after a two-hour hearing today, Judge Pfaelzer, who was nominated to the Federal bench by President Jimmy Carter, said that although "I do weigh the state's interest, and I give it heavy weight," the measure appeared to conflict with Federal authority.
Because of that each time before I hit "post," I do weigh the consequences.
I, on the other hand, have the annoying habit of reserving comments unless I am well informed and being disturbingly honest and blunt when I do weigh in myself.
I'll admit that shopping does weigh me down like a clanking Jacob-Marley set of chains.
So these are questions that do weigh.
