However, the way of handling the changing nature of climate in hydrologic practice and especially in hydrological statistics has not become clear so far.
Non-accurate determination of rainfall and the costly process of collecting hydrologic data and statistics are among the difficulties of estimating flood properties in basins (Lopez et al. 2005; Vahabi and Ghafouri 2009).
In an attempt to link downscaling (i.e., relating large-scale atmosphere ocean circulation to smaller-scale hydrologic variables) with the statistics of extremes, statistical downscaling of hydrologic extremes is considered.
