The word "hybridize" is correct and usable in written English.
It is typically used when referring to the process of cross-breeding two different species to create a hybrid species, or when referring to the process of combining two different things. For example, you can say: "Scientists have used biotechnology to hybridize different species of plants to create more resilient crops."
