The largest class of proteins is that of medium hubs (between 11 to 50 interactions).
We also identified a net loss of up to 3.59 million ha of links and 1.72 million ha of hubs between 1992 and 2001.
They indicate, for the first time, that some blocks of the anterior insula play the role of hubs between the anterior and the posterior insulae, as confirmed by their activation in several different paradigms.
This example supports our assumption that balancer proteins could be connective hubs between different modules.
More importantly, such a result answered the open question whether or not HCfyi contains 'date hubs' and 'party hubs', i.e. the contradiction on 'date hubs' and 'party hubs' between works of Han et al. [10] and Batada et al. [11], at the level of network motifs.
We found that more than 60% of 'party hubs' and 'date hubs' defined by Han et al. have been correctly divided into mPHs and mDHs respectively by our method among the overlapped 103 hubs between FYI (proposed by Han et al).
