I looked at six indicators for startup "health": The number of funding rounds, the amount raised, the number of M&A transactions, how much those transactions netted, the number of IPOs and how much those IPOs netted.
It is not clear how much the transaction will cost.
There was nothing about how that market process was organised, or how much the transaction cost.
"Yes, people should be looking at earnings and other fundamentals," said Cox. "But you've also got to think about how much that transaction will cost".
Since the transaction isn't expected to close until some time in the fourth quarter, there's no firm word on how much the transaction will actually cost E Ink — that said, the price tag attached to the full load of SiPix shares hovers around NT$1.55 billion (just a hair over $50 million).
The market is anxiously awaiting the final tally on how much past transactions, deemed to be improperly accounted for by the company, will affect A.I.G.'s value.
How much of their transaction fees they keep, however, is another matter.
