The lists of new housekeeping transcripts found in all three species show a high presence of proteins from housekeeping families, like ribosomal proteins: the related GO terms appear 704 times in the human housekeeping list, 9 times only in the tissue specific predicted set.
That's not even to mention all the other crap that needs to be dealt with on a daily basis: emails, messages, travel logistics, general life housekeeping, the list goes on.
As represented by the housekeeping genes listed in Table 3 (upper part), the majority of the genes showed similar expression levels among NASH livers, normal livers and breast cancer tissues.
It needs to be stressed that the housekeeping genes listed here was derived by an independent study from multiple gene expression profiling experiments with different human tissues [ 21].
The ratios of the normalized expression between human SSPs and mouse SSPs targeting homologous housekeeping genes listed in Figure 3 were calculated.
For the 17 housekeeping genes listed in Additional file 3: Table S3, the variation was even lower, showing a log2-fold change of 0.45 ± 0.35 (TUBB gene with zero RPKM values was omitted here; see Additional file 4: Table S4a).
