There, the lowest rate for an apartment is $3,300 a month, which includes three and a half hours a week of personal assistance and weekly housekeeping; the highest fee is $4,900 a month for tenants needing daily services.
Marriott, for instance, assesses a $250 "room recovery fee" if housekeeping and management determine a guest has smoked in a nonsmoking room, based on cigarette odors, butts or burns, said John Wolf, a Marriott spokesman.
