Aside from its emerging and direct role in highly homogeneous S. enterica outbreaks, it is important to recall the important function of NGS for augmenting conventional detection, identification, and subtyping methods development.
In Fig. 7, we show the simulations of smallpox outbreaks on homogeneous and Erdős Rényi networks using parameter values from Table 1 compared to results of the numerical solution of the corresponding pairwise model (5).
