A number of themes emerged from the analysis: understanding postnatal depression, making the diagnosis, facilitating and hindering disclosure and the role of the system in inhibiting disclosure of symptoms.
While disclosure of HIV status to adolescents is critical to facilitate access to continuum of HIV care, there still exists limited knowledge on the factors that promote or hinder disclosure of HIV status by caregivers to adolescents living with HIV.
