The time for hydrate dissociation becomes longer in the case of a higher hydrate saturation, and depressurization along with other stimulation methods, such as thermal stimulation, may be required for efficient gas production.
Observations of water flow through the hydrate-bearing sands showed that water was imbibed more readily into the fine sand, and that higher hydrate saturation increased water imbibition in the coarse sand due to increased capillary strength.
